The steering group of the Digivisio 2030 programme steers the project’s activities in accordance with the policies of the General Assembly. Higher education institutions elect representatives from among themselves to the project steering group.
The General Assembly of the programme consisting of representatives of higher education institutions has decided to update the composition of the steering group. The new steering group started at the turn of the year and held its first meeting on 31 January 2023. Ilkka Niemelä, President of Aalto University, will continue as the steering group chair.
Other persons continuing in the steering group include Manu Pajuluoma, Information and Digital Services Director at University of Lapland and Lapland UAS, Matti Sarén, President/CEO of Kajaani University of Applied Sciences (Vice Chair), Anu Moisio, Competence Director, Continuous Learning, at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, Piia Björn, Vice-Rector of the University of Turku, Johan Lilius, Director of digital transformation at Åbo Akademi University, and Jyrki Laitinen, Vice Rector of Oulu University of Applied Sciences.
Heidi Ahokallio-Leppälä, Vice President of Häme University of Applied Sciences, Pekka Kähkipuro, Chief Information Officer of Tampere University, and Susanna Niinistö-Sivuranta, Director of Development at the University of Helsinki, started as new members in the steering group at the beginning of 2023.
‘The Digivision 2030 programme is a significant co-operation project between higher education institutions and, as the development of services has begun, we have reached a new stage in the programme. The steering group plays an important role in guiding the programme in accordance with the General Assembly’s decisions as we progress towards concrete action and implementation. The new composition of the steering group represents the field of higher education and the different strengths of higher education institutions in the development of the project in a versatile manner’, Ilkka Niemelä says.
