Finland lives on diverse expertise.
In the Digivisio 2030 programme, Finnish higher education institutions are building a future of learning together. The goal is a new era of learning where each of us can learn more easily and flexibly, thus accumulating the expertise needed in a constantly changing world.
The first product of Digivisio is the Opin.fi: a joint service of Finnish universities and universities of applied sciences with a diverse selection of open higher education studies on a single site.

Take a peek into Digivisio’s journey 2021–2030.
Continuous learning and complementation of competence are a natural part of society.
Opin.fi will be available to all learners. The next phase of the project begins: service development continues, the focus shifts towards new user groups, including degree students, and HEI’s international networks and ways to support them also figure on the project roadmap.
The first higher education institutions and learners will have access to the beta version of Opin.fi at the end of the year. The lessons learned will be used to develop the service further. The themes and objectives of the project for the following years will be identified more accurately.
The first version of Opin.fi is completed and piloted together with the higher education institutions. HigherEd Hub Finland Oy is established as a company that will operate Opin.fi.
Development of the Opin.fi service begins in close cooperation with the higher education institutions. The higher education institutions’ work on the change begins, and a more accurate vision is created for online pedagogy.
All higher education institutions sign the programme’s participation agreement and the Digivisio programme office is established. The focus and vision of the project are tweaked during the year: continuous learners are put at the centre.
